On 7 June bronze figure of "Artemis and the Stag", circa dated 1st Century B.C./1st Century A.D., sold for $28.6 million at Sotheby's New York auction. According to Sotheby's it's a world-record auction price for a sculpture of any period. Also, it's much more than a pre-sale high estimate of $7 million.
